What we collect

ScentMatch is a static website. We do not operate user accounts, we do not ask for your email address, and we do not require you to submit any personal information to use the fragrance search or the scent quiz.

Your quiz answers are processed entirely in your browser. They are not transmitted to us and are discarded when you close or reload the page.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard technical request data — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, referrer and user agent — for security and reliability purposes. We use this only in aggregate to understand which pages are useful.

Cookies

We do not set advertising or profiling cookies of our own. When you follow an outbound pricing link, the destination retailer and its affiliate network may set cookies to attribute a resulting purchase. That processing is governed by their privacy policies, not ours, and we receive only aggregate commission reporting — never your identity or your order details.

Third parties

Outbound links point to the eBay Partner Network and, through it, to eBay Australia. We have no access to any personal information you provide to those services.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may request access to any personal information an organisation holds about you and ask for it to be corrected. Because we hold no personal information about visitors, in practice there is nothing for us to disclose or amend — but you are welcome to ask.

Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children.

Changes

Any material change to this policy will be reflected on this page. It was last reviewed in August 2026.
